Funky Misc. Is Nick’s new project featuring pieces influenced heavily by ibiza house, old-school Funk and the jazzier end of pop.
Whilst much of Nick’s original music is designed to be contemplative and relaxing, soft piano-led piece featuring subtly swirling synth lines or strings giving an otherworldly quality, Funky Misc. harks back to Nick’s roots playing sax and piano in various jazz and funk bands/ensembles up and down the country, in swanky bars to sweat pits in the back of clubs.
The first two tracks released from this project are collaborations with the artist and songwriter ‘Els’ who sings on ‘Going The Same Way’ and ‘Dance Among The Stars.’ These two tunes feature Ibiza-style sax and an infectious, danceable beat.
