Nick Pike is a Composer, Arranger and Orchestrator based in London. He primarily plays Piano and Sax and, whilst classically trained, he specialises in jazz, funk and pop styles. Nick graduated from Bristol University in 2010 with a degree in Composition and a Master’s in Composition for Film and Television. Since then he has composed music for a variety of clients including adverts for Saatchi & Saatchi, Emortal, Hayman’s Gin, an audio book for Harper Collins, various short films and podcast themes and a documentary for the Born Free Foundation and UNEP.
Nick runs his 8 piece band Latimo, allowing him to test his funk/pop tunes in a live setting. Latimo also doubles up as a function band playing heavily rewritten versions of classic party tunes.
Nick has worked as an assistant to the Bristol-based composer Jeremy Holland-Smith on various projects including his ballets Memento and The Secret Garden, TV shows such as Frankie (BBC2) and feature films such as The Passing and Doors Open starring Stephen Fry (ITV). Nick has also transcribed music to score for various composers including Jeremy Holland-Smith and Nils Frahm’s Sheets Zwei.
